MSMAS double Judo Medal success at 'Heart of England' Championships in Birmingham..

It was a long day at the ‘Heart of England’ Judo Championships, held at the National Indoor Arena in Birmingham today !

First, Chris Sharp in the Heavyweight Men O100kg Category, fought through hard against 10 other Players from across the UK and abroad to make the Final, eventually taking the Silver !!

This was then followed by Martyn Woodhead, who, in his normal style, waltzed through to take Gold in the Junior Age Band “B” O66kg Category….

Not satisfied with that, Martyn was then entered into the Age Band “C” Category, for Competitors born 1994/5, and where Strangles were allowed, winning all 4 contests with Ippon to place him in place for another Gold, only to be refused it, as he was too young for that Category !!

In any case, our congratulations to them both, for their Medal success ‘on the day’ !!
