MSMAS 'Free' Junior Judo Scholarship holders pass initial BJA Judo Grading !

The first intake of Mid Sussex Martial Arts School ‘Free’ Junior Judo Scholarship Students passed BJA Judo Grading and also helped support ‘Help for Heroes’ campaign in the process...

Once again, The Mid Sussex Martial Arts School, located just outside of Haywards Heath, was at the forefront of Martial Arts in Mid Sussex, when their very first intake of ‘Free’ Junior Judo Scholarship holders took and passed their initial Judo Grading within the British Judo Association.

At the Grading, every Junior Student was also presented with a wrist band showing our Dojo’s support for ‘Help for Heroes’.

The ‘Free’ Judo Scholarships at The Mid Sussex Martial Arts School are proving quite a success, being fully funded by the ‘Tenshin Kan Youth Foundation’ and available to any young person in Mid Sussex who wishes to train in the Japanese Martial Art of Judo in Mid Sussex.

The Mid Sussex Martial Arts School is not only a ‘British Judo Association’ & ‘Sport England’ Bronze Club Mark centre for Judo but also an approved ‘Leisure Provider’ to West Sussex County Council Children & Young People’s Services.

The Mid Sussex Martial Arts School hold all the right and necessary credentials, backed by the Mid Sussex District Council & Sussex County Sports Partnership Trust, plus the Haywards Heath Town Council Mayor and  'Bright FM', our local radio station.

The Mid Sussex Martial Arts School introduced ‘Free’ Judo Scholarships in 2008 to the young people of Mid Sussex to mark 20 years of the Mid Sussex Martial Arts School teaching Judo in this Olympic year.

As our ‘2009 Charity’ is ‘Help for Heroes’ we felt that this initial Grading would be a great time to start our Dojo’s contributions.

As such the Grading Fee payable to the BJA was matched by our Dojo to be sent to ‘Help for Heroes’ so that everyone is a winner !!!
